Vacation

Back at home now from our vacation and reflecting on the beautiful days spent in Lorne, VIC. Due to my operation and not knowing whether we would be able to have any vacation booking was last minute, so we only found a small place to stay, but just across the road from the beach. This was the view from the road and it was spectacular. Lorne was half full or half empty depending how you want to see it. To me it was half empty which means that I liked it cause it wasn't so crowded. The beach was nice and clean and the sea was its clear turquoise . As always the trip there was fun and this time it was also quick, no traffic at all and listening to new music from The Decemberists and old too. The new cd doesn't sound as nice as The Crane Wife, I still need to listen to it many times over to make a real judgement. When we hit the Great Ocean Road we put the old one in and enjoyed the beautiful tunes whilst driving around the hilly bends. As we arrived in Lorne Summer played on the cd player and it was just a perfect setting.

De vuelta en casa de las vacaciones y reflexionando un poco sobre los dias tan lindos que pasamos en Lorne, VICTORIA. Dada mi operacion y el no saber si ibamos a tener vacaciones, no pudimos reservar nada con anterioridad asique solo encontramos un pequenito lugar, pero frente a la playa. Esta era la vista desde la vereda y era espectacular. Lorne estaba la mitad lleno o la mitad vacio, depende como lo mires. Para mi estaba la mitad vacio lo cual lo hace mas lindo ya que no habia muchedumbre. La playa estaba hermosa y limpia y el mar estaba turquesa transparente. Como siempre el viaje hasta all fue divertido y esta vez rapido, nada de trafico. En el camino escuchamos el nuevo CD de Los Deceberists, que no parece tan lindo como The Crane Wife, pero todavia tengo que escucharlo muchas veces mas para hacer una critica real. Cuando llegamos a la Gran Ruta Oceanica pusimos el viejo y disfrutamos las hermosas melodias mientras manejabamos por las curvas montanosas. Cuando llegamos a Lorne la cancion Summer sonaba en los parlantes y fue simplemente perfecto.
