Hoy caminando por Camberwell pasamos por una chocolateria que se llama Koko y miren lo que habia en el pizarron. Que sorpresa! lastima que el negocio estaba cerrado. Igual espie por la vidriera y vi el minusculo tarrito de dulce de leche que debe salir una barbaridad! La proxima foto lo muestra.

New Dexter

Dexter by Design is the new book that follows the three books I read over the Summer. We bought it today at Borders when we got out for a bit of fresh air. I've been studying all afternoon writing my assignment for Early Childhood Education on Observation and documentation techniques. I am happy because even though it is a draft I managed to write half of it.
At about 5ish we jumped on the car and drove to Camberwell while listening to the new cd from the Decemberists "The Hazzards of Love". We ended up in Borders and then finished up with a cappuccino and iced chocolate. I am hoping to be able to read the book sometime during the holidays (even though I still have uni). I'll see how I go.
La temperatura hoy fue un poco mas calida de lo que me imaginaba que iba a ser y con el cansancio de la bicicleteada de ayer creo que hoy voy a dormir muy bien despues de tomarme un tecito con un pedazo de torta de ricota.

19 years later...

19 years later the Zalewskis rode to the city and arrived at the place of their union. The Registry of Birhs and Marriages on Williams Street looked almost the same although I think it has been turned into a museum and there is a cafe to the left. So it makes me think that we are now Museum specimens...are we getting too old? I

Fue lindo conmemorar nuestro enlace hace 19 anos en este mismo edificio . 19 anos mas tarde llegamos ahi con nuestro hijo en bicicletas y despues celebramos con unas deliciosas facturas ( lo mas parecido a ellas y tal vez mas ricas) de la panaderia japonesa Bread Top. Que lindo dia para celebrar y pedalear. Antes de llegar aca fuimos hasta la bahia en Port Melbourne. LLegue a casa suuper cansada y con las piernas doloridas.

Feliz Aniversario

It was our 19th wedding anniversarie yesterday. It's a whole lot of years together. We shared so many things, good and bad and we only know one thing: we love each other more than last year and less than the next. So congratulations husband and thank you for our life together.

Casi puedo oirlo

Casi puedo oir cuando miro esta foto la musica que siempre nos acompana en el camino y como ya indudablemente forma parte del viaje. Se van agregando algunas cosas nuevas como Nada Surf (muy pertinente en nombre de la banda) y Anja Garbarek una onda muy jazzy (Vale te la recomiendo a vos que me dijiste que te esta gustando el jazz). Lo malo de que esta musica que tanto me gusta forme parte del viaje a Lorne es que cuando la escucho camino al trabajo me deprime porque quiero estar yendo a la playa.

Casi 19 anos

Que increible...a pocos dias de nuestro 19th aniversario de casados. Ay que lindo! I love you vidito.

Reflection

Here is where the Ereskine River meets the beach. The ocean bathes the beach on the other side and the thin layer of sand rests dry in the middle.

Going for a walk

After my 5 pm swim in the crystal clear ocean I decided to go for a walk and contemplate the peaceful sandy environment. A walk to the sweet Lorne bridge is a must in my list of things to do when I'm in Lorne. The last couple of visits I didn't walk at all, perhaps because it was too hot to do anything other than swim and although it was quite hot on Saturday the semi deserted beach called for my feet to move. I tried to look at the scenery from a different angle and the thing that was more prominent on Saturday was the sky. It had really interesting clouds and patterns so I tried to include as much of it as possible and I like the effects I got. This picture was taken just before the beach entrance near the Lorne caravan and camping area. Love the colour of the grass and the contrasty sky.

Nostalgia

Recien llegue de Lorne y mire las fotos que saque en mi caminata mientras Ricky y Anton hacian surf y ya me da nostalgia. Lorne en blanco y negro tambien es hermoso. Hoy fue un dia muy especial, despues de un mes y medio de no ir fue mas fuerte el reencuentro. Hizo mucho calor por alla y por la temperatura de la noche ahora en Melbourne aca habra estado caluroso tambien. Fue muy refrescante estar en el agua turquesa y flotar...que sensacion rara que es cuando salgo del agua estoy como mareada. Estuve tratando de pararme en la tabla de Ricky, pero no me anime, solo llegue a arrodillarme y me cague de risa. Estudie un poquito tambien y tome un ratito de sol. Un dia muy completo que me lleno el alma.

Celebrando

Sabado a la noche es apropiado para celebrar, sea lo que sea el motivo, es una costumbre que vale la pena continuar y transmitir a las generaciones que vendran. Este sabado a la noche nos aventuramos en la lluvia y fuimos de nuestros amigos marplatences para celebrar el cumpleanos de Miriam. Entre picada y unas deliciosas empanadas de carne acompandas con unas ricas ensaladas y vino charlamos, reimos y celebramos en estilo. Anton saco esta foto pero su presencia es evidente si uno cuenta las copas. Thanks friends for a lovely night!

Rain, rain please come another day!

Well finally the rain came, and it bucketed down! It was an amazing sight, the sky had shades of gray, dark gray and black. The clouds formed scary patterns at low altitude and just before this photo was taken the clouds looked like sharp teeth ready to chew on its pray, us! As I drove around Templestowe and Doncaster I laughed aloud as the rain kept hitting my windscreen mercyless. At the bottom of the hills I drove over huge puddles and splashed water sideways. I had nearly forgotten how cold the rain could feel as I got wet and wetter getting off the car doing the weekly shopping without an umbrella. I must admit I enjoyed the experience greatly and I ask that please rain come and visit another day!

Despejando la cabeza

Despues de otro dia cansador frente a los libros y la pantalla nos fuimos hasta Heidelberg en bici. Hacia mucho que no hacia este camino y la verdad me encanto. El dia estaba hermoso, super calido y otonal y me vino bien despejarme la cabeza de tanto estudio. Adelante bastante por suerte, porque esta semana se vino con todo el tema de la universidad. Manana tengo dos horas a la manana de reemplazar a una maestra en un 2do grado. Me da un poco de nervios porque voy a estar yo a cargo de la clase...y hace mucho que no estoy con chicos tan chiquitos. Yo me estreso por estresar, seguro va a estar todo bien. Estoy contenta de poder hacer esto, me sirve mucho como practica.

Well after another day of burrying my eyes in the books and the screen I went for a bike ride to Heidelberg along the Yarra Trail. We used to do this every day, before we discovered the city ride, but haven't done it for a while. I really enjoyed it. Especially the beautiful feeling of Autumn. Nice weather, sunny, warm and very charming. I was afraid that Autumn would elude us but luckily we can still see some leaves fall. Did lots of uni work and I'm getting ready to teach Grade 2 tomorrow for 2 hours. I am a little nervous since I haven't been in the lower school in years! But I will enjoy it.

It could have been worst

Cuanto hace que no hago una entrada. Estuve muy ocupada estudiando y este fin de semana fue el primero casi sin ver el sol. El sabado mientras Ricky y Anton se fueron a hacer 100 km en bici, yo me quede en casa y estudie todo el dia. Leyendo, investigando cosas en google scholar y demas y escribiendo mi trabajo para la materia Diseno y Tecnologia. Pudo haber sido peor, porque cuando me sente a escribir no tenia ni idea como iba a empezar, de a poco fue tomando forma y hoy domingo lo termine. A la noche fuimos al cine porque manana es el dia del trabajador asique es feriado. Vimos "Watchmen". Veredicto: fantastica, exepto for el chabon azul que me parecio un poco creido. En otra nota quiero felicitar a mi sobrinita Simona porque empezo a caminar solita! Mundo: cuidado!

Ok, it could have been worst. At least I managed to finish my first assignment and start on next week's work ahead of schedule. I missed the ride to the city and I missed my family a lot, but the work got done and that is good. Tonight we saw Watchmen. I don't know much about the comic, but this movie was unbelievable. The aesthetics were out of this world, the photography excellent. Really good acting and directing and very original special effects. The fight scenes hurt. Really cool movie. We saw several previews that interested us as well, like Terminator, Wolverine and Star Trek. Awesome year!
Tomorrow there is more studying for me, I need to do so much this week that I better use my time wisely. I may just take 1 hour bike break to go to Heidelberg. We'll see.
