El regalo mas gracioso este ano fue este par de anteojos nerdy. Nos hizo reir mucho, todos los usamos por un rato y nos hicieron sentir mas inteligente.

Christmas was a night of celebrating at the Zalewski's house. Food, drink and music animated the party and we were all very excited to open our presents after the clock struck 12. I had excellent presents so I guess Santa must have thought I was a good girl this year. Unfortunately Christmas also passed too quickly. I guess it was hard finishing work so late this year (22nd) and with everything we did this year it just seems that no amount of holidays are going to be enough to rest.

Looking at these photos makes me want to be there again, it was so beautiful but it passed so quickly that it now feels like a blur. The echidna was so cute! She waddled around in search for food and didn't even care about us.

At night we had a nice fish and chips dinner at the Wharf, the best place to eat fish and chips apparently (according to a Hobart girl). After dinner we had a stroll around the wharf to say goodbye to Hobart and started our careful drive back to Launceston. One thing that amazed us on the road was the amount of road-kill. We were so scared to run over a little creature that drove way below the speed limit.

What a beautiful yet simple garden in the heart of Salamanca Place in Hobart. The crimson red of the cherry trees contrasted against the grey stones of the walls and brownish grey of the pebble floor. It had a winter feeling yet one can't help but feel optimistic when looking at it.

Salamanca Place is a beautiful area in Hobart where you can find restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, art galleries, live music and lots more! Full of night live and people, Salamanca is really alive and worth every square inch. We walked in and around, bought some souvenirs and enjoyed a live performance for free! Everyone was there laughing, eating and drinking the year away.
